Dohm Sound Machine is the original white noise machine helping millions fall to sleep since 1962. These sound machines are known for creating a consistent, soothing background noise that can mask other disruptive sounds, making it easier for people to fall asleep and stay asleep. Pairing these machines with our featured Saatva mattresses is an excellent way to ensure our guests have a restful stay. Steam Wand

We are happy to provide our guests with steam wands in our rooms rather than the alternative iron. Steamers can be used on a wider array of fabrics and are less likely to damage clothing which makes it our go to choice. Plus the best part, no ironing board needed!

Our Gardens

Perennial gardens cover much of the property at Martin Hill Inn; this is just a small portion of them. Leading to the parking lot beyond the salt box-style garden shed is a winding stone path.

Our garden was one of the delightful gardens spotlighted in June 2007 on the annual Portsmouth Pocket Garden tour. When you visit, you will note that we have added a wide and interesting variety of plantings, and many of the bushes have really flourished since this photograph was taken.

A dirt path winds through a lush, tree-shaded garden toward a light-colored house with a small wooden shed on the left.

For those of you interested in gardening, some of the perennial varieties you will see in our woodland shade garden include:
